About
Irene runs workshops for newly arrived children with migrant history in schools in the Neukölln district, focusing on integration and language learning. These projects are commissioned by KinderKünsteZentrum and are varied in nature. Many of them involve printing books or stories, but there are also neighbourhood explorations, visits to exhibitions, herbariums, drawing/photographing the surroundings and shadow theatre.
The results of these workshops are exhibited in a shop window or display case in Neukölln where local residents can see the great work made by these children. They feel very proud.
Some of these projects are held in collaboration with artists from other disciplines.
