These workshops invite participants to discover more about the world of books and printing. In the workshop Fábrica de letras (Letter Factory), which explores the origins of printing, from woodcut printing to the first movable type, students experiment and create their own alphabet. Each letter in this alphabet takes on a life of its own.
In the workshop Mensajes gráficos (Graphic Messages), students use themovable types they have created to express and print messages they consider important. The word here gains strength through its graphic content.
Many of these workshops are held at Instituto Cervantes in Berlin for secondary school students learning Spanish.
